Menu costs and the winter listings
Oriole's own site doesn't list prices. When we checked Tock on September 8, the Dining Room was $325 a person and the Kitchen Table $375. Separate Winter 2026-2027 listings were $345 and $395. Use the listing for your date, because the lower price doesn't apply all year. Check the live experience listings.
- Two Dining Room menus: $650, or $690 under the winter listing.
- Two Kitchen Table menus: $750, or $790 under the winter listing.
Those figures are food only, before tax, drinks and any service charge. The official site doesn't say whether there is one, so look for it at checkout. Either way the Kitchen Table costs $100 more for two, which makes the question simple. Is sitting in the kitchen worth $100 to you?
Reservations and dietary planning
Bookings open up to 90 days ahead on Tock. Oriole says "we do not hold back any tables," so what you see online is everything. If your date is full, it keeps a waitlist and will contact you if something opens. You can't buy a gift certificate, but you can buy a Tock experience and transfer it to someone else, which also helps if you can't make your date. The official site doesn't publish cancellation terms, so read them on Tock before paying. Reservation calendar; Visitor FAQ.
For dietary needs, the FAQ says "some restrictions cannot be accommodated" but doesn't list them. Contact Oriole before you book, and in every case give at least 24 hours' notice. Groups of up to 20 can book the private dining room through events@oriolechicago.com.
The regular dining-room and Kitchen Table party limits, prepayment amount and any deposit credit are unverified. The 20-person private room is a separate event space. Winter service dates are not recorded; match the live listing to your date before using either winter price.
Pairings or a bottle?
There are three pairings, called Spirit Free, Standard and Reserve. Wine director Emily Rosenfeld's Reserve pairing uses "special wines of older vintages, esteemed producers, and rarer bottles." Bar director Maddie Balintona makes the non-alcoholic pairing. The official site doesn't give pairing prices, so they aren't in our totals above. The wine list leans toward Old World whites. Beverage options and corkage.
You can bring up to two 750 ml bottles per reservation, at $50 corkage each. For two people that's $50 for one bottle or $100 for two, before any other charges. If you're weighing your own bottle against the list, count what you paid for it as well as the corkage.
Arrival and timing
Oriole is at 661 W. Walnut Street in the West Loop. There's no valet. The FAQ says metered parking is "plentiful along Desplaines Street and Union Avenue" and that staff are "happy to refresh your meter!" There's also a garage half a block north at 650 W. Fulton Market. There's no dress code. Photos are welcome, but no flash, flashlights or video. For questions, call 312-877-5899 or email hospitality@oriolechicago.com. Parking, dress and photo rules; Contact.
Oriole doesn't publish opening hours or how long dinner takes. Ask directly if an end time matters, and leave room for the extended menu. Ask about step-free entry too, since the site doesn't cover it.
For another West Loop dinner, compare Smyth's two menu formats and November change or Ever's food-and-service budget. Compare the same parts of the bill for each, food, required charges, drinks and the seat you'd actually book.
Age rules remain unverified. Our planning advice is to arrange transport using the full Walnut Street address and leave the extended dinner's finish flexible until Oriole confirms it.
Compare before booking
Ever publishes $828 for two with service before tax and drinks and a two to two-and-a-half-hour duration. Oriole's food-only figures come from September 8 and omit unverified service; its duration is unpublished. Get a current quote and finish estimate before choosing by the lower advertised number.
Mako charges $50 corkage per bottle, the same as Oriole, but Mako cannot accommodate vegan or vegetarian diets. Oriole leaves its dietary exclusions unspecified and needs at least 24 hours' notice. Neither a corkage match nor a dietary request guarantees the menus suit the same guest.
