Dinner and pairing costs for two
Kasama's site lists the tasting menu at $325 per person, the beverage pairing at $195 and the non-alcoholic pairing at $95. It also says all prices can change. Prices and terms.
- Two tasting menus: $650.
- Two menus plus two non-alcoholic pairings: $840.
- Two menus with one of each pairing: $940.
- Two menus plus two beverage pairings: $1,040.
These totals exclude tax, tips, any service charge, supplements and transport. Kasama doesn't publish a service charge, so check the final amount when you book and ask if one is added.
You can also bring wine. Corkage is $50 for each bottle up to 750 ml, with a two-bottle maximum, and larger bottles cost more. For two people, two bottles add $100, so two menus with corkage come to $750 plus whatever you paid for the wine. Two full beverage pairings cost $390. Compare that with $100 in corkage plus the cost of your bottles, then confirm any additional charges.
The reservation window and cancellation deadline
Kasama's reservations page says dinner books through OpenTable and uses an OpenTable booking button. Other links on the site still point to a Tock page, so start from the reservations page itself. Tables for parties up to six open on a rolling six-week calendar at noon Chicago time. The site doesn't say how to book for more than six, so email reservations@kasamachicago.com if your group is bigger.
Cancelling within 48 hours of your reservation costs $325 per guest. Dropping a guest with less than 48 hours' notice adds the same $325 per person to the final bill. For two diners, that's $650 at risk.
Confirm the final head count before you reserve, and put the 48-hour deadline in your calendar right away. Don't wait until the day of dinner to ask a travelling companion whether their plans changed.
The public dinner experience lists 1 to 6 guests and no walk-ins. Card holds, prepayment or deposit credit and transfers remain unverified. Read them before booking.
Check the restrictions before reserving
Kasama handles most allergies and restrictions, but not these:
- Soy.
- Egg.
- Allium, meaning onion, garlic and their relatives.
- Vegan diets.
- Corn.
- No refined sugar.
- Keto.
- Paleo.
Check this list with every guest before reserving. Note every guest's allergies in the reservation at least 48 hours ahead, which is the same cutoff as the cancellation charge. Email reservations@kasamachicago.com with anything unclear before you book. Full dietary policy.
Keep daytime and dinner questions separate when you write. A bakery item that suits your diet tells you nothing about whether the dinner menu can be adapted.
The site's overview and full experience policy differ over egg and seed-oil exclusions. Send the specific ingredients and obtain approval; the full policy's egg exclusion should not be assumed waived.
Build a realistic visit
Kasama is at 1001 N. Winchester Avenue in West Town. It doesn't publish a phone number. Use info@kasamachicago.com for general questions and reservations@kasamachicago.com for dinner. The site doesn't say how long dinner lasts, what the seating times are, or anything about parking, transit, dress or step-free access. Ask the reservation team about timing before pairing dinner with a fixed-time event.
If you're comparing tasting-menu formats, read Alinea's guide. For a West Loop option with a published time allowance, see Ever. Cuisine, dietary fit and the full budget will narrow the choice faster than any ranking.
OpenTable lists dinner Thursday through Sunday 5:30 to 9 p.m., casual dress, street parking and wheelchair access. The access flag does not describe the entrance or restroom route. Age rules and duration remain unverified; confirm those before pairing dinner with another event.
Compare before booking
Indienne publishes a $135 vegan tasting menu and asks for 48 hours' dietary notice. Kasama also needs 48 hours but excludes vegan, soy, allium and several other restrictions. If any apply, choose another dinner before committing to Kasama's $325-per-person late-cancellation exposure.
Ever gives a two to two-and-a-half-hour estimate and a $828 subtotal for two with service before tax and drinks. Kasama's $650 is menu only, with duration and mandatory charges unverified. A daytime Kasama visit has no reservations and is a separate bakery and counter-service trip, not a substitute booking for its dinner.
