Separate menus and bottles
OpenTable shows same-named tasting offers at $215, $225 and $235 per person. Two menus are $430, $450 or $470. The page does not explain the date or time tiers. These totals exclude tax and the unverified service charge.
The listing says service includes gratuity, water and corkage, without a rate or confirmation that it is already in the displayed price. Confirm the final bill. Bring drinks and count their shop cost separately. Schwa provides water and ice; ask about bottle limits, glassware and alcohol restrictions before shopping.
Get dietary approval before prepaying
OpenTable's prepaid tasting listings take 2 to 8 guests. Email schwarestaurant@gmail.com about restrictions before booking. After approval, submit the details through OpenTable by Tuesday of your reservation week. The dish list is not an allergy guarantee.
The official site says Wednesday to Saturday; OpenTable also lists Tuesday hours. Follow the calendar and confirmation. Release, cancellation, rescheduling and transfer rules remain unverified. Read them before paying. The whole party should arrive together for the roughly two-hour meal.
Getting to Ashland Avenue
Schwa is at 1466 N. Ashland Avenue in Wicker Park. There's no valet. Street parking on Ashland is free when you can find a spot, and a hotel at North and Ashland has a garage. Since you're bringing your own wine, Schwa's suggestion of a rideshare makes sense. The official site says nothing about step-free access or age. For another BYOB tasting menu with a published price, compare EL Ideas.
OpenTable lists business casual dress, while the official site gives no dress or age policy. Detailed access remains unverified. Our planning advice is to allow time for parking or a rideshare before the whole party's scheduled arrival.
Compare before booking
EL Ideas accepts solo reservation requests and describes no-corkage BYOB. Schwa's listed offers start at two guests, and its corkage is covered by an unverified service charge. Compare the invoice or checkout totals along with your bottle purchase.
Mako sells a $110 pairing or charges $50 corkage per bottle. Schwa has you bring drinks and provides water and ice. Schwa publishes a roughly two-hour dinner; Mako's seating times do not establish duration, so ask before combining either with a fixed-time event.
